Monochrome, Fall 2021

Monochrome tells a story of the evolving land, impact of climate change and rebirth. While working on the series, fires were once again blazing in Northern California. At the same time,  we were working on our own land to protect it from future harm. Learning about which trees add protection, what could be dangerous and how to preserve the land, not only from fire, but to allow it to serve and heal itself. These reflections of nature often mirror what is going on in my own life, trials and tribulations leading to strength and resilience. Support from those tall trees around me and the appreciation of fresh air to breathe.
