Bio
Jaime Lovejoy is an abstract artist based in San Francisco, California. Her paintings explore the intersection of environment and emotion - how a place, sound or touch can conjure up an instinctual response - transferred onto the canvas.
Heavily watered down acrylics are poured across the canvas in thin veiled layers, manipulated by tilts, turns and gestural movement. Fluid with motion, each stroke and pour builds upon itself to create an ever-evolving narrative within the work.
Lovejoy’s work has been shown across California and spans private collections across the country. As the founding member of the Oxide Collective, a series of pop-up gallery events throughout San Francisco, she is dedicated to creating a connection between artist and collector and turning closed retail into beautiful spaces. This work resulted in her joining the board for ArtSpan, a local nonprofit dedicated to cultivating a vibrant art community in San Francisco.
Lovejoy received her Bachelor of Art degrees in both Visual Arts and Economics from Lafayette College. After a long standing marketing career, she now focuses exclusively on her art.
